Anushka Shetty is the current reigning queen of Telugu Film Industry in terms of box office glamour. She has been the biggest star actress who has market similar to heroes from past 5 to 6 years.

But after Bhagamathie, she took time off to reduce her body weight and did not accept a film until last year October. She started and completed the film, Nishabdam.

She chose to not accept any films until this film releases. Now, she might be in consideration from some movies with senior stars but her further decisions will depend on this film. While it is her side of the story, producers side of the story is not that clear.

Some say they have resolved to wait for the theatres to open. Some say they are looking for good profitable offer from OTT platforms. Now, the results of several high profile films on OTT platforms did stop the services from aggressively offering big amounts, it seems.

Hence, the producers are trying to close the deal as uncertainty about the theatres re-opening time period in India remains the same. No one is able to say that before September, governments will give permission to open theatres and hence, several producers don't want to waste the OTT opportunity as the audiences flocking to theaters to some of the films is highly improbable. Nishabdam producers too fear the same, suggest sources.
