What it is

Jointly produced by Dhanush and Vetrimaaran, featuring predominantly newcomers in the lead roles. The movie had its world premiere on September 5, 2014 at the 39th Toronto International Film Festival. went on to win two National Film Awards at the 2015 ceremony.

The Story

When a pizza parlour opens on their old playground, two carefree slum boys are consumed by the desire to taste this dish called ‘pizza’. Realising  that one pizza costs more than their family’s monthly income, they begin to plan ways to earn more money - inadvertently setting in motion an adventure that will involve the entire city.
