One hell of a week indeed it was, the Pongal celebrations at software companies came to a close only to start republic day celebrations. The IT companies are known to celebrate Indian festivals on a grand scale by dressing up in sarees, Dhotis followed by Kolam, lemon on the spoon and other games that was created especially for them. Here are the three most topics discussed during this week, not that you or I could have done something about it apart from sharing it on social media and commenting with rage but, oh well.

Lets not talk about what Vairamuthu actually said about Andal; good or bad that should not matter as we are past that. That crouching tiger hidden dragon moment for Nithyananda rockstar bakthas as they suddenly started using Jio’s internet plans extensively by posting golden words on the lyricist. Those “Sorpozhivugal” came from smash vilakus ( kuthu vilakus ) who used polite words to voice their protests. The trolls had a field day as they started receiving high amount of video and jpeg requests to fulfil the public’s comical ego. By the way a friend asked me who Andal was… and I kept staring the wall.

Before wondering who this lady is, we have to accept the fact that the problem was not the characters of Alauddin Khilji or Padmavati. It was who portrayed them; Ranveer and Deepika who are alleged to be in a live in. So the Karuman Sena… sorry Karni Sena got angry and decided to intervene by protect the interests of Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and the whole vegetarian non beef eating community and how? Oh well beat up school boys, they will become ranveer or Sanjay Leela Bhansali one day.

Kollywood wrap :

Kollywood did not have a great week with both Sketch and Thana serntha Kootam opening to average reviews, probably because of the bus fare people did not come to theatres, yes that’s the reason! Already 25 days have passed and no Vijay Sethupathy movie? It’s a medical miracle indeed! But his close competitor Udhaynidhi has released a remake which has the plot centered around slippers and self-respect. Hmm slippers and self-respect do seem to have strong connection since Ramayanam!
