Mahesh Babu made it a point to talk in brief about his forthcoming flick, which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh, before leaving to Mumbai for shooting a crucial schedule. He suggested that the film will be no less than a trendsetter script. "The Businessman will have all the elements that my fans wish to see in my film. This is going to be another trendsetting venture after Pokiri."

Puri Jagannadh averred that the film, being produced by Venkat of RR Movie Makers, will see Mahesh in a magnificent character. The film will be made on a prestigious scale.

Slated for release on January 12, the film will be shot till December 5 in Mumbai. Venkat said that the output will be of the "highest class."

Prakash Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Nasser, Brahmaji, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Bandla Ganesh and others form the rest of the cast.
