The Businessman audio's grand launch

  • IndiaGlitz, [Friday,December 23 2011]

The makers of The Businessman pushed the envelope by releasing the audio of their multi-crore film in three languages – Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The event, held at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad, was graced by D Ramanaidu, Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala, SS Rajamouli, Sreenu Vytla, Atchi Reddy, Anil Sunkara among others. Among the stars, Charmme, Namratha, Nisha Agarwal and others were conspicuous by their presence.

The Tamil audio was released by Krishna and his wife, the Malayalam audio by Rajamouli, and others, and the Telugu audio was released by Sreenu Vytla. The memory card was released by Mahesh himself.

Speaking on the occasion, Krishna made a prediction on how much the film is going to collect. He said that TBM would collect Rs. 150 crore in three languages. I thank the fans of Mahesh for coming here today. If Pokiri created new records in the 75 yeas of Telugu cinema, Dookudu created records unseen in its 80 years of history. This film is going to be an even bigger hit. Thaman has lent fantastic music.

Ramanaidu hoped that Mahesh will register a super hit yet again. Atchi Reddy hailed Mahesh as the only hero with the stature to make a film earn a billion. Sreenu Vytla hoped that the film will be a bigger hit than his Dookudu. Dil Raju said that he would want to do a film in the combination of Mahesh and Puri.

Rajamouli went a step ahead by wishing that Mahesh gets the kind of craze in Tamil and Malayalam which Rajinikanth enjoys in Andhra Pradesh. Whenever Puri delivers a hit, my wife gives me a lecture. She would ask me to go and learn the art of filmmaking from him. I will buddy up with him for at least two days. I would like to do a film with Mahesh. If fans decide which film to make, I will do either Alluri Seetharamaraju or Gudachari 116 with him, he said.

When Mahesh’s turn came, the audience could went delirious. In his inimitable style, Prince gave a sugary speech. I am very happy today. My Dookudu team is here for the event. I never knew when we started the movie and when it was finished. Puri Jagannadh would often tell me that the dialogues (in TBM) were not written by him but that he wrote it because he was possessed by me. Mahesh said that all the technicians gave excellent output. He said that Kajal gave a good performance.

Puri Jagannadh averred that working with Mahesh Babu had become an addiction with him. After working with the superstar for two films, Puri appears to have come to believe that there was no better actor than Prince in being a director's actor.

The film is set to release on Jan. 11 – the date from when the festive period would commence, as MB would say. The film is produced by RR Movie Makers on a gargantuan budget.
