Bollywood have churned out quite a few war movies till now but most of them are criticised for lack of authenticity and complete absence of accuracy. However, Farhan Akhtar's 'Lakshya' suffers from none of these problems and it is righo considered the best war movie to come out of Bollywood. As the film completed 17 years of its theatrical release, director Farhan Akhtar shared a behind the scenes montage of the film.
Along with it, he wrote, "Forever grateful to the Indian army for supporting us and to the incredibly dedicated & tenacious cast & crew who collaborated on this life experience.. I won’t call it a film, because it’s always been more than that. Lakshya. 17 years. ❤️"
'Lakshya' followed Hrithik Roshan's character, an aimless youngsters who reluctantly joins the army and turns his life around. The film has cult following and is praised for the accurate portrayal of war, soldiers and Indian Military Academy. It was also devoid of corny jingoistic dialogues which added to the realism of the film.
