Kishore - 'Thoongavanam'
As Diraviyam, the corrupt Narcotics Officer Kishore has given a chilling performance in 'Thoongavanam in which he holds his own against such heavy weights as Kamal Haasan and Prakash Raj.
Pattiyal K Shekhar - 'Rajathanthiram'
Producer of the hit film 'Pattiyal', Shekhar is the father of director Vishnuvardhan and actor Kreshna who appeared in a major role for the first time in his career in 'Rajathandhiram' and handled the greedy jewel store owner Kanchi Azhagappan character like a pro and his performance is a major plus in the sleeper hit.
Antil Jaaskalinen - 'Demonte'
One of the biggest genuine hits of 2015 'Demonte Colony' had the most terrifying villain in Tamil cinema amongst all the releases. It is reported that director Ajay Gnanamuthu picked a tourist Antil Jaaskalinen to play the title role of John Demonte and what a perfect bit of casting it turned out to be.
Super Subbarayan - 'Komban'
The rustic thriller 'Komban' had a scary looking villain played by Stunt Master Super Subbarayan who surprisingly used his acting and body language more than his physique and pyrotechnics to create a memorable villain in 2015.
Adil Hussain - 'Yatchan'
Vishnuvardhan's 'Yatchan' may not have set the box office on fire but the director has extracted an excellent performance from Assamese actor Adil Hussain who portrayed the difficult role of a fox in a sheep's clothing quite effectively.
Samuthirakani - 'Paayum Puli'
One of the most underrated actor of Tamil cinema, Samuthirakani excelled in the role of Selvam the evil elder brother of Vishal in 'Paayum Puli' directed by Suseenthiran. The second half of the film is virtually hijacked by his performance.
Shaam - 'Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai'
The character of Macualay IPS in S.P.Jananathan's thriller 'Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai' is the most difficult of the three main leads and Shaam fitted the role like a glove and in the climax when he traps Arya's character sending him to death his steely eyes show no emotions doing full justice to his role.
Kalabhavan Mani - 'Papanasam'
2015 marked the comeback of the brilliant actor Kalabhavan Mani in the role of Perumal the sadistic cop in 'Papanasam' who mercilessly terrorizes and subjects to torture the Suyambu Lingam family and one can safely say that he outshone even the Ulaganayagan in those sequences.
Rana Daggubatti - 'Baahubali The Beginning'
Rana effortlessly went under the skin of the character Ballala Deva the chief antagonist of 'Baahubali - The Beginning' with his towering physique itself and crowned his portrayal with the right body language and expressions that spit venom. The giant blockbuster has made Rana known world wide.
Kalaiyarasan - 'Urumeen'
One of the fast rising stars of Kollywood Kalaiyarasan proved in 'Urumeen' that his riveting performance in 'Madras' was no fluke and his rendering of the multishaded character John Christopher in the film is another feather in his cap signaling that he is here to stay.
