Last few months have been quite fruitful for actor Ranbir Kapoor. He and wife Alia Bhatt welcomed their first child and their long awaited film 'Brahmastra' also turned out to be a box office success. However, just before that, Ranbir starred in a period action adventure flick 'Shamshera' which tanked badly on the box office. During his recent appearance at Red Sea Film Festival, Ranbir talked about the failure of 'Shamshera' among others things.
Talking to Deadline, the actor shared that his bearded avatar was a bad mistake which led to the box office disaster. He stated, "Shamshera was a big box office disaster, but the biggest mistake with the film was that I stuck on a beard. When you’re shooting in the heat, and you stick on a beard, it’s like your face is melting.”
Ranbir also opened up about his 2017 film 'Jagga Jasoos' which was his passion project of sorts. He stated, "It’s a film that I produced. It was a passion project. It was directed by Anurag Basu. It was a very heartwarming and sweet idea, but it didn’t do well, which really hurt. That’s the only film in my career that hurt me.”
Talking about future, Ranbir will be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' and in a rom-com with Shraddha Kapoor.
