The assaulter tried to kill me: Actress Shalu Chourasiya

Starlet Shalu Chourasiya was attacked recently by an unidentified man at the famous KBR Park at Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills. The assaulter muffled her and dragged her into the forest in the wee hours. Fearing molestation, the actress tried to scream for help. At this, the assaulter threw her onto a rock, making her bleed. The cloth that was stuffed into her mouth came off and Shalu started screaming for help. The assaulter asked her to shell out some amount. When she tried to call the police, the goon snatched the phone from her and hit her head on the rock. “There was an attempt to kill me with a boulder. I woke up and pushed him aside. His intention was to kill me because he didn’t want to get caught,” Shalu has said, recounting the horrifying incident. 

Speaking to a TV channel, Shalu thanked the Hyderabad police for swinging into action immediately after she lodged a complaint. “I thank the police department for working extremely hard to solve the case. Within 15 minutes of my lodging the complaint, dog squads were there to do a recce inside the KBR Park,” Shalu said. 

“The assaulter doesn’t know me. I have no enemies in the film industry. It was a case of robbery. After I fell unconscious, he tried to molest me. After I resisted, he wanted to kill me,” Shalu added.

The actress said that she had a close shave with death.
