Certainly the most awarded crew ever put together for a film! Gaur Hari ki Dastaan boost 12 award winners in its crew. 10 National Award winners - 1 Emmy Award winner - 1 Oscar winner - 1 Grammy Nominee - such is the stellar cast of the upcoming movie 'Gaur Hari Dastaan - The Freedom File'.

Director Ananth Mahadevan explains how it was to get this cast under one roof. He says, "Getting together a whole team of award winning actors and crew members was not the initial intention. But as the appointments happened, we realised that we had the biggest team of award winners ever put together for a film!

The award winning director also adds, 'The biggest concern dealing with the actors was their expectation from the production house and me as a director. They wouldn`t accept unprofessionalism as they were trained in a particular way. We worked hard on maintaing minute details like sending them call sheets as early as 20 days in advance. Which scene to be done before break time which to be shot post.

We also conducted workshop. I had to make sure the quality of production matched their expectation since people like Tanistha come from Hollywood background as well and for them these eye for details make more impact that other issues.

Even if Vikram Gokhale or Saurbah Shukla were part of an extended cameo convincing them didn`t take time since as actors they were very secured of their roles as they come with a thought of being a part of film as a totality."

The movie 'Gour Hari Dastaan - The Freedom File' which is up for release on Independence day this year boast some very powerful performances by award winning artists. The film has 10 national award winners - Emmy and Oscar award winners and also Grammy Nominee who have given music for this film.

The movie is inspired the real life story of Gour Hari Das, a forgotten iconic Freedom Fighter who has to fight two wars; one with the Britishers for the Freedom Movement and the other with his own government to procure a simple Freedom Fighter Certificate. He fought for 32 long years to conclude this battle.

The cast includes national award winning actors Konkona Sen Sharma, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Vikram Gokhale, Rajit Kapur, Saurabh Shukla. The technical team has 8 times national award winning editor Sreekar Prasad, National award winning re-recording Anup Dev, Oscar award winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, Emmy Award winning cinematographer Alphonse Roy and Grammy Award Nominee Dr L Subramaniam as composer. Besides producers Bindiya and Sachin Khanolkar and Ananth Mahadevan [best director, best screenplay] won National awards for Mee Sindhutai Sapkal.
