One of the most popular films in the career of over 205 films of Dr Rajakumar ‘Thayige Takka Maga’ produced by Dr Parvathamma Rajakumar in V Somashekhar direction in 1978 – the same title is used for 2017 Kannada film. This film is 25th film of Ajay Rao, first home production of eminent director Shashank and debut direction of Ved Guru, the top of the cast list is Sumalatha Ambarish in the mother role.

The 1978 ‘Thayige Thakka Maga’ Dr Raj was boxer, this ‘Maga’ is a Karate trainer in his role. There was family melodrama; this one is a social injustice fighting by mother and son.
