Jack Dorsey, the Twitter CEO, is in India on his first-ever visit to the country. Earlier on Monday, he had a meeting with Congress president Rahul Gandhi on the subject of the micro-blogging site's measures to tackle fake news.

"Jack Dorsey, the Co Founder & CEO of Twitter dropped in to chat this morning. Twitter has grown into the most dominant “conversations” platform globally. Jack explained some of the steps being taken to keep those conversations healthy & to tackle the menace of fake news," RaGa tweeted out.

The meeting between the Congress leader and the CEO has sparked criticism by sections of commentators. They are of the view that measures to tackle fake news shouldn't have anything to do with Rahul, who has produced "more than enough fake news on Rafale deal".
