Pawan Kalyan has spoken to journalist Dhanya Rajendran in an English-language interview. The Jana Sena chief has categorically said that his main opponent is YSRCP and not TDP. Does that mean he is soft on the ruling party?
“It’s me who brought TDP’s corruption to the forefront. I have been the government’s harshest critic. TDP is not even in the game (political frame). It’s a dead-end government. That’s why YSRCP is my main rival,” Pawan said. “How can I not go against TDP? The problem is that my words are twisted by the media most of the times. I don’t own any media house,” he added.
“It’s not true that I am not fighting TDP. In a number of constituencies, it’s a bipolar fight between Jana Sena and them. In others, it’s Jana Sena Vs YSRCP. In the rest, it’s a triangular contest. I don’t believe in being king or kingmaker. I want to achieve social transformation,” Pawan said.
