That's why 'MLA' is special to me: Kalyan Ram

The success meet of 'MLA' was held on Monday. Speaking at the event, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram expressed his happiness.
He said, This film has broken the jinx. Usually, my films with other production banners would invariably fail. However, 'MLA' has broken that jinx. I have had a release after 1.5 years and I am glad that it's a big hit.
Kalyan Ram said that the film is seeing the footfalls owing to its theme that education is what matters the most. I thank director Upendra Madhav for writing a story based on child labour and education. A distributor has called me up to appreciate that we have made a commercial film without any item song. There is vulgarity in the movie, he added.
Director Upendra Madhav said that he was down when he read the not-so-encouraging reviews. However, last night, I learned from Guntur's distributor that the film is already making profits. I had a nice sleep after listening to that, he said.
