Kurnool's Kondareddy Buruju has a special place in the hearts of Mahesh Babu's fans. It was the backdrop of that game-changing scene in 'Okkadu', which was the first mass blockbuster in Mahesh's career. The landmark in the city was made popular all over by this milestone of a movie.
The Buruju will now be seen in 'Sarileru Neekevvaru'. Back in 2000 when Mahesh shot for 'Okkadu', he was not a superstar. So, Gunasekhar and Co could shoot it on the main road with special permission. Now that he is a phenomenon, it's not possible to shoot near the real location. That's why Dil Raju and Anil Sunkara are reportedly erecting a Kondareddy Buruju make-believe set at Ramoji Film City.
The total cost of the set is said to be Rs 4 Cr.
'SN', starring Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine, has a Kurnool backdrop. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, it will release for Sankranthi 2020.
