Chiranjeevi graced the audio release function of 'Vijetha' on Sunday. He was visibly happy about his son-in-law's debut movie.
"The title of this film reminds me of my own 'Vijetha'. Story-wise, these two films are very different. I was very much impressed with this Vijetha's story when I listened to it the very first time. It's a story related to middle-class characters. The scenes that unfold between the father and his son (Murali Sharma and Kalyaan Dhev) are heart-touching. They are not only touching but also make us teary-eyed. I immediately okayed the story," he began saying.
"Even my 'Vijetha' was about a father-son duo. I had done the movie at a time when I had been doing mass and action movies. Although I liked the story, I was doubtful about fans accepting me in such a story. I urged the fans to bless us since we had tried something new. And the film was a big hit. Kalyaan Dhev has done 'Vijetha' when he is free from image-related trappings. My confidence is that this film will win over fans to his side," Chiru observed.
About his son-in-law, Chiru said that Kalyaan Dhev has always been enthusiastic about acting although he is the son of a businessman. "I told him an actor should be mindful about what he is offering and how much effort he is putting in. Kalyaan has got the right visage. He is glamorous. I told him he should have passion and 'josh', too, in him. It's on my advice that he went to get trained by Satyanand garu. He overcame his loopholes as an actor and tried to better himself during the training. He has aced dancing as well. And his director has extracted the best from him," the proud father-in-law said.
Chiranjeevi particularly praised Rakesh Sashii's direction and story-telling capabilities, saying that he can be seen in any number of scenes in the movie. He said that Sai Korrapati is a kind of passionate producer who completely involves himself with filmmaking. "There is a need for such producers. He should make as much money as Aravind garu made with my 'Vijetha'," Chiru said.
"KK Senthil Kumar cranking the camera for this movie is a good sign. After all, he is the one who worked on a great film like 'Baahubali'. Besides his visuals, Rameshwar's songs are really good. I have loved the 'Kodi' song. Prem Rakshit is a nice dance choreographer," the 'Sye Raa' actor said.
