Krish Jagarlamudi says that 'NTR-Kathanayakudu' and 'NTR-Mahanayakudu' introduce to the audience the NT Rama Rao we never got to see.
"I see him as a straightforward, pure-hearted, innocent, frank, educated son of a farmer who has a wife and a child. He was India's first superstar, who became the Telugu people's God. He started out as an ordinary man who shook the Delhi establishment," the director says.
"The beauty of 'NTR' for me is to capture that innocence. As Balayya garu has said, I kept smiling watching the conversations between different characters. I have captured the heights that NTR garu reached and the beautiful human being that he was," he adds.
"When the script was written, it turned out to be a 4.5-hour film. That's how I made it as a two-part biopic. In the biopic, we have not shown the NT Rama Rao garu people saw. We have shown the innocence in him," Krish says.
'Kathanayakudu' will release on January 9 (tomorrow).
