Marking Hanuman Jayanti yesterday, Megastar Chiranjeevi shared an interesting anecdote in his life. As a child, he won a pic of Lord Hanuman in a lottery and has treasured that photo till date. Over the years, he became a staunch devotee of Hanuman. As destiny would have it, even his screen name is one of the several names of the Lord.
Quote-tweeting his elder brother, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan today spoke of how his brother's influence converted their father from being an atheist to a religious man. "Hanuman ji's worship came into our home through my brother-Chiranjeevi garu; that made my father transform from an atheist and communist to a Lord Rama devotee. I used to recite Chalisa 108 times on certain days of my teenage. Jai Hanuman!" the Jana Sena chief wrote.
In another tweet, he lauded the efforts of Waterman of India Rajendra Singh's work during the times of COVID-19. "Your organisation ‘Tarun Bharath Sangh’ volunteers are doing a commendable job under your guidance, standing by 5000 families of mainly migrant labour in Corona crisis. It’s inspirational to see your efforts," the 'Vakeel Saab' actor tweeted.
