Senior TV and Hindi film actor Alok Nath, who was seen in supporting roles in many blockbusters in the 1990s, has been accused of raping a writer named Vinta Nanda. The lady has said that she was raped more than 19 years ago. The accusation is really serious.

"I started to walk home on the empty streets... Midway I was accosted by this man who was driving his own car and he asked me to sit in it and said he would drop me home. I trusted him and sat in his car. I have faint memory after that. I can remember more liquor being poured into my mouth and I remember being violated endlessly. When I woke up the next afternoon, I was in pain. I hadn't just been raped, I was taken to my own house and had been brutalised," Vinta said. Before this incident on the road happened, Vinta had attended a party at Nath's house, where her drinks were mixed.

Only recently, when someone described rape-accused former Tehelka editor Tarun Tejpal as an English-speaking Baba Ram Rahim, Alok said on Twitter, "Jail konse style ki hogi?" What a strange thing!

Meanwhile, Cine And TV Artistes' Association or CINTAA has said that Alok Nath will be issued a show cause notice.
