Producer Kalaipuli Thanu's much hyped Totti Jaya starring Silambarasan is witnessing huge controversy now.

The movie expected for release on 15 August is lying in the cans with Silambarasan not turning up for the dubbing demanding more salary.

Thanu has reportedly lodged a complaint with Producers Council and Distributors Association against Silambarasan in this regard.

According to Thanu, 'I began Totti Jaya directed by Durai about a year ago. Though several friends in the industry warned me not to cast Simbu in the lead role, I went ahead since the director insisted on him playing the lead role. He never turned up on time for the shoot and because of him the project got delayed for over a year.

Though I have paid the salary as agreed by me at the time of commencement of shoot, the actor has not been turning up for dubbing, demanding a further sum of Rs 25 lakhs. I have lodged a complaint with Producers Council and I am hopeful of an early solution'.

Efforts to contact Silambarsan's camp has ended in vain.
