Earlier this year, there was a controversy surrounding actress Jyothika, quoting an old speech of the actress in an awards function where she had said that hospitals must be valued in the same way as temples and funds must be allocated to develop them.

The speech was shared virally on social media to spread hatred on Jyothika that she spoke bad of Thanjavur temple and later, Suriya also issued a statement standing by Jyothika's speech. Now, Jyothika has come up with a massive gesture silencing haters.

Jyothika has donated a whopping Rs 25 lakhs for the Thanjavur government hospital for buying necessary modern equipment and additional facility improvement, and gave the fund to health minister Vijaya Bhaskar. This huge gesture from the actress has been appreciated by people as well as politicians.
