Arguably, the most exciting combo of this decade, Dhanush and Anirudh. As these two guys scored a glorious hat-trick with '3', VIP, and 'Maari', the expectation for 'Thanga Magan' notched a new high. Before the makers christened this one as `Thanga Magan', it was largely known as 'VIP 2' and lets see what Anirudh serves this time.
Jodi Nilave - Dhanush & Shweta Mohan
Within the first few seconds, Anirudh assures a soothing melody ride and it is worth riding again and again. One of the major highlights of Anirudh's composition is, he never drags his tracks to tick the 5 minute rule. Most of his numbers are 3-3.30 minutes long and this one is no different. Shweta Mohan's fluidic rendering adds loads of charm to this beautiful track. The song does end where one would yearn for more, and that's what makes this track more special.
Tak Bak - Anirudh & Dhanush
The composer at his experimental best by adding some unconventional approach to a quirky number. Dhanush's fondness towards the letter U is visible once again as he adds Pulse-up, Vayas-up, Drums-up, Pudhus-up to add the typical Madras-U flavor. Anirudh makes use of acoustic guitars to lit the mood and takes the sax in the mid way to add more joy to it. This one is a perfect repeat-u material.
Oh Oh - Dhanush & Nikhita Gandhi
What starts off like a soft melody laced in Jingle tone, takes a roller coaster ride in no time. It is captivating to hear the track changing colors before the first interlude as Anirudh hits us with a `rock' flavour for a while, which sounds quite anthemic before shifting gears down to end the song on a high. The `Adiyae Adiyae' bit is sure to go viral as Dhanush has given his heart and soul to it.
Enna Solla - Shweta Mohan
The album comes to an end with a functional number, which is a let down considering that the other 3 are signature stuffs from the composer. Albeit the spledind vocals from Shweta Mohan, the track offers 'Deja Vu' feel throughout.
