Chiyaan Vikram joined hands with acclaimed maker Pa Ranjith and Studio Green for the ambitious film 'Thangalaan'. The star cast of the much-awaited film also includes Parvathy Tiruvothu, Pasupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltigarone, Harikrishnan and others.

Thangalaan is a magnum opus period action drama project that revolves around the battle of the natives of the Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka. The story is set in the pre-independence era. Producer Gnanavel Raja earlier stated that Thangalaan will be released in 3D in multiple languages.

Thangalaan has music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Kishor Kumar and editing by Selva RK with stunts by Stunner Sam. The movie will premiere at prestigious film festivals around the world before a grand theatrical release on a festival date in 2024.
