When Director Ram came up with "Kattradhu Tamil", little did he know that his movie would buzz with sensation. The film was revelation of all sorts, and Ram won critical acclaim for his dark and hard hitting direction. Nevertheless the movie's intentions were subject to a lot of controversies and eventually won positive reviews from the critics.

That was Ram's initial attempt in Tamil Cinema six years ago and he has been sketching a plot that has slowly but turned the attention of everyone. Known for bringing out the sensitive side in cinema, Ram's enigma is not a revelation that dawned suddenly, he is known to carry the touches of his mentor Balu Mahendra.

Kattradhu Tamil educated us with the hazards of Globalization and it's after math effects on us, eventually making us forget our original identity. The director has quipped that "Thanga meengal" will focus basically on the current Education system and toll it has taken over the years. The film revolves around a common man and his daughter, and touted to be an emotionally tender story, abiding by the usual sentiment and values.

Gautham Vasudev Menon took the charge of co-producing this movie along with RS Infotainment, ever since he had Ram on the board of acting and directing this flick and has constantly praised the director cum actor's swathing commitment. The ace director has constantly jibed through various media and networking sites about the emotional values that this movie would bring, would definitely make the people pause and look at the education system of ours.

 The movie has Ram acting and directing it, he also has Sadhana as Chellama his daughter and Shelly Kishore, Padmapriya and plenty of other characters in the cast. Yuvan has joined with Ram yet again and the audio has been doing some decent rounds in the market, however considering this to be a movie with rich storyline, will have to wait and see how it tags along with the visuals. Arbhindu Saara has been delegated with the work of Camera work and Sreekar Prasad to take up editing work. Na.Muthukumar has penned all the lyrics of this movie so we can expect some powerful hard hitting verses in the songs.

After a string of delays, the Goldfishes are waiting to hit the screens by July26, so do mark your calendars.
