Music director of eminence S.A.Rajkumar has no let down so far in Kannada. He continues his hand in this 'Thandege Thakka Maga' a remake of Tamil block buster 'Thevar Magan'. Dr.Dodderange (3 and 5 in the album), Dr.Nagendra Prasad (, 7 and 8 in the album) and Kaviraj (2, 4 and 5 in the album) have shared the eight songs well scored by S.A.Rajkumar. The beauty of this album is that director S.Mahendra has not given up the rich folk background he has in his store.
The album begins with a lovely song Jajiya Hoo Chanda Janapada Balu Chanda Nannavala Manasu Chandavo.., sung by Rajesh and Chitra. The song Dore Dore., the title song in appreciation of the chieftain sung by S.P.Balasubramaniam is good in lyrics. SPB has that punching voice even after 50000 songs in his career. The next song Kaveri Simyaage..., also describe the coming of son to the village is melodiously sung by SPB. Savalaku Savalaku.., sung by Rajesh is powerful. This one is a challenge throwing song in high pitch. Kailasadha A Shivanige..., sung by chorus is in the background gives an account of pathetic stage of the situation.
Namma Oora Deepa .. With wonderful modulation by SPB and baby Vaishali is made for the mood of the situation. The grim situation is imaginable from this song in the film.
Jajiya Hoo Chanda.., by Rajesh and Chitra is a repetition in the album.
Dam Dama Dama Dama.., sung by Shankar Mahadevan is the introduction of 'Thande and Maga - Ambarish and Upendra in the film.
In the CD of 'Thandege Thakka Maga' there is a bonus of five songs from O Priyathama, Sishya, Ondagona Baa, Sahukara and Akash Kannada films.
The Mars Recording has brought out this to the market. The CD is priced at Rs.40, cassette is priced at Rs.32.
