It is known that Chennai is completely clogged with water following severe floods. The incessant rainfall has caused huge damage to the properties of commoners and celebrities as well. According to reports, the flood took over the studio of music composer SS Thaman and incurred him a loss of about Rs 3.50 crore. It is being said that it will take at least one month for the music director to restore his studio to normal state. Apparently, it has affected his work as Thaman is unable to complete the works of his upcoming films.
Grapevine is that Thaman has requested the makers of Balakrishna's Dictator a month's time to complete the re-recording of the film. He also asked the makers to go ahead with the likes of Mani Sharma or some other composer if they are keen to release the film for Pongal. "Thaman is upset with the way his studio was affected by floods. He informed Sriwass that he is helpless and couldn't meet the deadlines for Dictator. He suggested Mani Sharma's name for the re-recording of the film. The makers are exploring options and if they still want Thaman to wrap up the work, they have to push the film's release to February," informs a source.
It may be recalled that Thaman has completed the re-recording of Bruce Lee in just nine days and hope, he gets back on track for Dictator, too.
