The much happening music director of Kick fame, Thaman, is in the news again. Year 2011 has had much for him and he has been the reckoning ever since the May 2010 hit, Kick, made him a sought after musician overnight. He is in the news, now again, not just for his peppy Champakamala in Kandireega, but for striking a deal with Puri Jagannadh.

He will be scoring the music for the Mahesh Babu-starrer The Businessman, being directed by Puri. So, as the businessman 'settles' scores with the baddies in the film, Thaman will elevate the proceedings with his scores.

Thaman is also said to be keen on scoring music for Tamil films once in a while, though he is not in a hurry. Although he has been approached by several producers, he has so signed for a Jiva starrer.
