Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ mania erupted this Diwali when millions of fans worldwide finally got to see their favorite star on the big screen. Atlee’s film has been receiving enormous congratulatory messages both from the film fraternity and the common public.
However, yesterday things took for a wrong turn when a senior BJP leader condemned a particular scene in the film which criticised India’s Goods and Services Tax. The dialog brought attention to the point how the 28% tax people pay is used against Singapore’s 8% eventhough it avails free medical care to its people.
