Ilayathalapathy Vijay is presently busy shooting for his 61st film directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films banner as their landmark 100th project. The film boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Samantha, Kajal, Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, S.J.Suryah, Vadivelu, Sathyan and Kovai Sarala. Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman is the music director.

The film is yet to be titled and it is temporarily referred as 'Thalapathy 61'. But there were various reports doing rounds about the title of the film. Ever since the film went on floors in February 2017, day in and day out we get to see many unofficial news reports about various details of the film.

Now the makers have requested the media to not report such unauthorized unofficial news about the film which they feel would affect the progress of the film.

"A Big request, Thalapathy 61 is a big film with lot of effort taken. False news and surprise elements being leaked is not good for the film. Request you all for official confirmation from the production house. Lots of surprise elements awaits Ilayathalapathy fans." said an official communique from the 'Thalapathy 61' crew.
