Actors Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Master' is one of the much-awaited movies in South India. The movie that was initially slated for release on April 9th was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. As uncertainty regarding the reopening of theatres still prevails, the audiences have been impatiently waiting for the release of the movie.
Meanwhile, a few weeks back there were rumours doing the rounds that 'Master' would be directly released on Amazon Prime Video which has the streaming rights. However, Xavier Britto the producer made it clear that Thalapathy Vijay wants his fans to have theater experience and the film will first be screened and only later streamed.
Over the weekend an Amazon Prime Video listing image was shared on social media in which it has been printed that 'Master' will release on the platform on August 14th. While the news has already excited a section of fans, a majority were left disappointed.
A closer look has revealed that the listing is an old one may be from 2016 or 17 and the 'Master' on that is a Korean film that dealt with the financial crimes.
'Master' has music score by Anirudh and Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi have an ensemble cast as costars that includes Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Gauri Kishan, Brigida, and Sriman.
