Medical aspirant student Anita's death over NEET has lead to huge protests across the state. Students of many colleges and schools have started boycotting the classes and resorting to protests. Many Kollywood celebrities including top actors. actresses. filmmakers and technicians have raised their voice against the death of Anita who could not get a medical seat even after scoring 1176 marks in +2 board exams due to NEET. They are also against the way  NEET has been implemented in the state that allegedly forced Anita to take the extreme decision. 

Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan expressed their grief over the death of Anita. Actor-music director GV Prakash and filmmaker Pa. Ranjith visited Anita's village and paid last respects to her mortal remains. Actor Suriya has written an article in a leading Tamil daily against NEET. 

Now Thalapathy Vijay has visited Anita's house in the Kuzhumur village of Ariyalur district and expressed his condolences to the bereaved father and family members. 

It is to be noted that the in the recent times Vijay has been boldly expressing his opinion on issues that have been affecting the common man. He voiced his concern against the sudden implementation of Demonetisation policy and also spoke against Farmers suicide.
