Thalapathy Vijay and Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu have mutual respect for each other and have stated in many interviews that they admire one another. Vijay has also reprised the Prince's roles in two movies 'Ghilli' the remake of 'Okkadu' and 'Pokkiri' the remake of the same name and both have been the biggest hits of his career.

Yesterday Mahesh Babu celebrated his forty-fifth birthday and has posed a the Green India Challenge to Vijay writing "There couldn’t be a better way to celebrate my birthday #GreenIndiaChallenge I pass this on to Junior NTR, Vijay, Shruti Hassan. Let the chain continue and transcend boundaries. I request all of you to support the cause. One step towards a greener world.”

Meanwhile a social media user has shared a video shot during the promotion for Mahesh Babu's Telugu/Tamil bilingual 'Spyder' directed by A.R.Murugadoss. In the chat ARM shares that he had an idea of making a bilingual in which both Mahesh Babu and Vijay will star together and while the former will be the villain in the Tamil version the latter will do the same in the Telugu version.

Murugadoss further added that Mahesh Babu immediately liked the idea and when he discussed the same with Vijay he too agreed and asked the director to develop the characters and the script and narrate it to him.

Vijay however had a condition which is that he will play the villain in the Telugu version only if Mahesh plays the hero and if there is any change in that he would back out. Well here is one more proof of the bonding between the two biggest superstars of South Indian cinema. Wouldnt it be just great if such a project brings Vijay and Mahesh Babu together in the near future?
