While Thalapathy Vijay is busy with the mega actioner 'Leo', it was recently announced that 'Thalapathy 68' will be directed by Venkat Prabhu with AGS Entertainment bankrolling the project. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the musical score for the untitled movie.

Reports broke out that SJ Suryah is being considered for the villain role. New rumours surface that Nayanthara, Tamannah, Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Mrunal Thakur are in talks for the leading lady. Any one of them might bag the role. The regular shooting is expected to begin in August month after the completion of Leo.

Now, trustable sources say that Thalapathy 68 will go on the floors with a muhurat pooja on June 22, Vijay's birthday. The pictures from the event will be unveiled later just like the makers did for Leo. We hear that the team is planning to bring the movie to the silver screens in Summer 2024, most probably on April 14.
