Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is all set for a grand release tomorrow. The much-awaited family entertainer is clashing with Ajith Kumar's action entertainer 'Thunivu', directed by H Vinoth. The earliest shows for Thunivu are scheduled at 1 AM and Varisu are slated at 4 AM.

Though the team's promotional works have been halted after the trailer, the makers have now planned a surprise move for Varisu. The much-awaited movie will have a celebrity premiere show at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai at 8 PM tonight. This is the first time for a Thalapathy Vijay to be premiered much earlier ahead of the FDFS.

As per sources, Dhanush, Karthi, Shankar, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee, Anirudh Ravichander, SJ Suryah, Madhan Karky, Su Venkatesan, Lyricist Vivek, and several other biggies have been invited for the special screening. Reportedly, Thalapathy Vijay will be present at the premiere show.

Produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, Varisu features Vijay, Rashmika, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Shaam, VTV Ganesh, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Ganesh Venkatraman, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha, Samyuktha and many others in key roles. The Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions of the film will release on January 14 and 13 respectively.
