Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Varisu' is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on Pongal 2023. Earlier today, we reported to you that the Varisu first single will not be released on Diwali and the fans will be treated with a special release date (11th January 2023) poster by the team instead.

Now, we hear some hot news about the film for which the Vijay fans have been eagerly waiting. We already know that the Ghilli actor and Rashmika Mandanna are shooting for a song sequence in a film city in Chennai and it is part of the final schedule. Dance master Jani choreographed this song, composed by Thaman and sung by Thalapathy Vijay.

According to sources, the team wrapped up the entire shooting today. Reportedly, some patchwork is pending and that will be filmed in Hyderabad. The movie is on track for a Pongal 2023 release. An official word on the shooting wrap-up will be out soon. The fans can expect BTS photos and videos from the sets marking the completion of filming.

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, stars Rashmika, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, Shaam, Srikanth, Ganesh Venkatraman, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha, Samyuktha and others. Karthick Palani takes care of the cinematography with editing by Praveen KL and stunts by Ram Lakshman masters.
