Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' was released the day before yesterday and is running successfully worldwide. YouTube channels are conducting interviews with moviegoers to get the public opinion about the family entertainer which has received mixed reviews from critics.
Meanwhile a middle aged Muslim woman who saw 'Varisu' praised Vijay and stated that Vijay is the "Varisu" of Tamil Nadu and she will stand by him in any problems he faces. But after a day the same woman in traditional Muslim attire posted a video saying "I have made a big mistake, I have asked God for forgiveness, and I am also asking for forgiveness from you."
Reacting to the video Naveen, the director of 'Moodarkoodam' has condemned the volte face. He wrote on Twitter "Did Muslim men who spoke about movies in front of the microphone later apologize? The woman who said that she will stand for Vijay has been forced to not even stand for herself. The patriarchal mindset must be must be removed from Islam.
Naveen who is also a Muslim by birth added "If all human beings are equal in God's creation, why so many restrictions only on women? Men should realize the natural fact that women have feelings too. Muslim women should acquire education, rationality, dominance and fighting spirit."
Naveen's next movie is 'Agni Siragugal' starring Vijay Antony and Arun Vijay in the lead roles with Akshara Haasan playing the female lead. The film's trailer was well received and is expected to hit the screens in Summer 2023.
