Thalapathy Vijay has been trending high right from the start of the month when the trailer of his next biggie 'Beast' was released on April 2nd to a record breaking reception. The promos of his first television interview in ten years have further excited his fans and the general audiences.

Today April 6th too was special as the pooja and shooting of his next 'Thalapathy 66' directed by Vamshi Paidipally was kickstarted. The film has Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady with Thaman scoring the music.

The evening too was witness to a rare event as Vijay and the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin met and greeted each other by shaking hands. The meeting took place at a private hall in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai where the wedding of the family member of popular producer Kalpathi Aghoram was held. Photos of the unexpected meeting have gone viral on the internet and fans are noting that Vijay is wearing the same costume with which he shot for 'Thalapathy 66' earlier in the day.
