Director Venkat Prabhu joined hands with Thalapathy Vijay for the first time in 'Thalapathy 68'. The movie is produced by AGS Entertainment and the makers finished the first schedule of shooting in Chennai last month. The team is currently in Thailand for the filming of the second schedule.

Venkat Prabhu is turning 48 years old today. Fans and celebrities are now showering wishes on him. Archana Kalpathi, the CEO of AGS, took to social media to wish the filmmaker and also shared an official update about the progress of Thalapathy 68. She shared a selfie of herself with Venkat Prabhu from Thailand to mark the occasion.

Archana wrote, "Happiest bday to our mad genius @vp_offl. Here is wishing you the best of everything . To many more crazy shoot days and schedules for #Thalapathy68 ( Update :Major Action Block being shot in Thailand and yesterday was a night shoot so @vp_offl gets a holiday on his bday)" (sic). Her post is now spreading like a wildfire.

Thalapathy 68 is said to be an action thriller with the ensemble cast of Vijay, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Mic Mohan, Sneha, Laila, Premgi, Yogi Babu, Meenakshi Chaudhary, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash and many others. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring music for the film while Siddhartha Nuni handles the camera and Venkat Raajen takes care of the editing.
