Ever since the stylish first look poster of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' was released controversies have been dogging the project targetting one of the posters that has a cigarette dangling on Vijay's lips. First it was the Public Health Department that demanded the poster be removed which Sun Pictures the producers complied with.
Now an advocate in the Chennai High Court has filed a PIL seeking a compensation of rupees 10 Crores each from Vijay. director A.R. Murugadoss and the producers for the controversial poster. The amount is to be paid to the Adyar Cancer Institute. The court has admitted the case and has sent notices to all three parties asking them to reply within two weeks.
'Sarkar' has music by A.R. Rahman while Vijay and Keerthy Suresh play the lead pair supported by Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Premkumar, Radha Ravi and Pazha Karuppaiah among others.
