Thamizhventhan an advocate has lodged a complaint against 'Sarkar' hero Vijay and director A.R. Murugadoss at the Chennai Police Commissioner's office. He has stated that Vijay who is having millions of fans would influence youngsters to smoking ciggarettes and keeping the society in mind the police should take action by ordering the team to remove the scenes in the film. Netizens on the other hand are of the opinion that instead of trying to curb smoking scenes in movies the very sale of tobacco products should be banned by the government.
'Sarkar' produced by Sun Pictures has Vijay and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair while Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Premkumar, Pazha Karuppaiah and Radha Ravi are also in the cast. A. R. Rahman scores the music and this will be his third outing with Vijay after 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' and 'Mersal'.
