We already broke to you that Thalapathy Vijay recently flew to Andhra Pradesh for the shooting of his upcoming film 'Varisu', co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. The movie is touted to be a family entertainer directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations.

According to sources, the 'Varisu' filming is progressing at a brisk phase in Visakhapatnam. The makers are now shooting at the Vizag port where Yevadu (one of Vamshi Paidipally's previous films) pre-interval scenes were filmed. A few BTS images including a picture featuring Thalapathy Vijay from the sets have surfaced over the internet and are going viral.

In the photo, Vijay was spotted in black and black attire who was standing amid the artists dressed up as the harbour workers. Notably, it looks like a cruise ship in the background. 'Varisu' also stars Yogi Babu, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, SJ Suryah, Jayasudha Sangeetha, Samyuktha and others.

The entire shooting of the movie is expected to be wrapped up within a month or two. Thaman is composing the musical score for the film which has cinematography by Karthick Palani and editing by Praveen KL. 'Varisu' is scheduled to be released in theatres in January 2023 on the occasion of Pongal.
