Now, it seems that he is personally reaching out to his fans and VMI members to appreciate their work on the field.

Vijay Makkal Iyakkam cadres are extending help to the people stranded by floods in areas which didn't get help even from the government. They are carrying out relief activities in full swing in the affected areas of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Chengalpet and Kanchipuram. In this situation, the actor reached out to a VMI member in Perungudi today via a phone call.

A video is doing rounds on social media which shows the phone call between Thalapathy Vijay and the VMI member. Vijay personally called the VMI members actively involved in the rescue operation and inquired about the damages there. After thanking them for their assistance, he urged everyone to prioritize their safety and promised to meet them on a suitable occasion.
