Thalapathy Vijay's indisputable star power was on display for Diwali as the teaser of his upcoming film 'Master' has garnered a massive 25 Million views so far and a record breaking 2.1 million likes. The film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with Anirudh's music has the ensemble cast of Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Dass, Malavika Mohanan and Andrea. It is expected to be a grand Pongal 2021 release worldwide in theaters.
The buzz is heavy that Vijay has already moved on to his next film 'Thalapathy 65' and has okayed director Nelson Dilipkumar of 'Kolamavu Kokila' and 'Doctor' fame. However there is no official confirmation yet.
Meanwhile there is another talk going on in Kollywood that Vijay has listened to a script by actor-director S.J. Suyah and has liked it so much that he wants to do the film in the nearest future possible. It is said to be a romantic thriller genre and could take off as 'Thalapathy 66' as per the sources.
There is another side to the story that S.J. Suryah could also star alongside Vijay in 'Thalapathy 65'. The duo go back a long time since their first collaboration in 'Khushi' directed by Suryah and starring Vijay and Jyothika. Later they reunited in front of the screen in 'Mersal' in which Suryah played the villain against Vijay.
If this project takes off then Vijay will be acting in S.J. Suryah's direction after seventeen years. We do have to take this news with a pinch of salt as there is no official word on this exciting combo.
