Nelson Dilipkumar's 'Doctor' is the latest blockbuster in K-town and the film's success fueled up the expectations of the director's upcoming biggie. Nelson joined forces with Thalapathy Vijay and Sun Pictures for the invasion thriller 'Beast'. Pooja Hegde is essaying the leading lady role.

The shoot of 'Beast' is proceeding at a brisk phase. The team is currently filming in Chennai and they are left with schedules in Russia and Delhi reportedly. The makers have completed 80 days of the shoot out of 120 days of their schedule. Some important sequences are said to be shot in the remaining 40 days, Nelson has planned to wrap up the film within December end.

Reliable industry sources read that the production house is planning to unleash the 'Beast' on big screens in Summer 2022 as Sun Pictures has multiple projects lined up for festival releases. Selvaraghavan and Shine Tom Chacko are playing baddies opposite Thalapathy in the massive budget flick.

'Beast' features Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Aparna Das, Choreographer Sathish, VTV Ganesh and Liliput Faruiqui playing supporting roles among others. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music which marks his third collaboration with Vijay after 'Kaththi' and 'Master'. Manoj Paramahamsa takes charge of the cinematography.
