Breaking! Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' crosses final hurdle for release

Thalapathy Vijay's films for the past few years face many hurdles before release due to various reasons most of which are political in nature.  The much awaited Diwali release 'Mersal' too had a last minute glitch as the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) delayed its No Objection Certificate.

A thundering good news for Vijay fans is that the AFBI have inssued the NOC to the censor board and as of now all decks are cleared for a smooth release on 18th October.  Meanwhile the advance reservations that opened in theaters all over have sold out within 30 minutes.  Thats the Thalapathy magic for you.
