Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ released this Diwali to an amazing response from the audience becoming a mega blockbuster surpassing the 100 crore profit milestone. Now, the film’s performance in overseas market has been extraordinary making the film to reach the 200 crore mark as well.

‘Mersal’ has also become the first Tamil language film to reap in more than 10 million dollars in the overseas box office. It is notable that films like Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’, Rajamouli’s ‘Bahubali 2’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raeez’ had achieved the feat earlier.

‘Mersal’ which has accumulated more than 10 crores in profit in US alone has been performing over the mark in other countries like Britain, Singapore, Norway, New Zealand and Sri Lanka as well. The buzz is that at this rate, the movie even overtake the records set by Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Endhiran’.
