Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ released this Diwali to an overwhelming response from millions of fans world wide.

Not only did the film’s take on GST received opposition from senior BJP leaders, but also the way the medical profession is portrayed in the film has received flak from the doctors association.

Now, it has been revealed by the state’s Health Minister Vijaya Bhaskar that a new law will be formulated in the upcoming legislative assembly meetings to check such unlawful activities in private hospitals. It is reported that this decision comes in the wake of public awareness created by Vijay’s socially driven movie ‘Mersal’.
