Thalapathy Vijay returned to Neyveli after extending full cooperation to the Income-tax officials who conducted a 35-hour enquiry with him and declared that no inappropriate cash or accounts were discovered at his premises. The mass hero just took a few hours rest on Thursday night and rushed back to Neyveli to resume the shooting.
Cadres belonging to the ruling central government BJP party conducted protests in front of the second mines site of the Neyveli Lignite Factory (NLC) where Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi were involved in fight sequence. The protestors demanded that the management of the central government-owned company immediately cancel the permission given to shoot the film and stop the proceedings immediately.
The internet users are seeing both the income tax raid and the protests at Neyveli as a political vendetta on Vijay who has a huge fan following and has criticised the state and central governments in his recent films 'Mersal', 'Sarkar' and 'Bigil'.
