The past few weeks Thalapathy Vijay has been in the news equally for his film career as well as a political issue. Firstly there are speculations whether his next movie 'Master' would release in theaters or OTT and last evening Xavier Britto the producer of the film put a full stop by asserting that it would be a big-screen release after all.

On the political front Vijay's father S.A. Chandrasekhar made a move to register the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam into a political party which caused a huge sensation in TN political circles. Vijay however distanced himself from his father and gave clear instructions to his fans not to support him. Eventually the proposed party treasurer Shobha Chandrasekhar and President Padmanaban resigned from their posts and SAC also backtracked on his plans.

Now Bussy Anand the Vijay fan clubs president has made an announcement that a new YouTube channel in the name of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam will be started soon. With the massive star power that Vijay commands the channel will have millions of subscribers in no time.

Political analysts are opining that every political party needs its own media outlet to propagate its ideology and likewise Vijay is taking a strategic step towards it by launching his own channel. In the future, it would become easier for him to interact with all his fans in one go and it is said that from henceforth all information and news regarding Vijay will be posted only from the VMM channel.

However there is no official confirmation regarding the same from Vijay himself and it is awaited soon.
