Puli producer responds to Thalapathy Vijay fans allegations

A few days back a statement was released on behalf of the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam alleging that the former PRO P.T Selvakumar is misusing the mass hero's name to make controversial statements in various media. Read : Interview troubles for Thalapathy's Ex-PRO?

Peter Selvakumar has responded that the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam statement against him is baseless. He has stated that for the past twenty five years he has not only served Vijay and his father in the capacity of a Public Relations Officer but also as an ardent fan and to reward him he was given the opportunity to produce 'Puli' on a 100 crore budget. He has claimed that the film that did not do so well critically and commercially was the first Tamil film to do more than 100 Crores business and that is why he had stated in media that Thalapathy surpassed Thalaivar. He maintains that he has a right to express his individual views and has no necessity to gain mileage through Vijay's stardom.

Peter Selvakumar has further stated that his stand against Ilayaraja insisting that he pay a share to the Producers also while collecting royalty for songs is in his capacity as a member and for the good of his organization. He has concluded that though he is not the PRO of Vijay he is still very close to the family and there is an attempt to cause a rift between them and the truth shall emerge soon.
